The beautifully rendered images of the new Wooster Square Monument, Indicando la via al Futuro, tells a story of an Italian immigrant family about to embark on a new life in a new country. Yet, it is only part of the story. We are asking for your assistance in our quest to tell a more complete story about the Italian American immigrant experience in New Haven and Wooster Square.
We plan to create a compilation of memories that captures the stories of those who were strong enough and determined enough to follow their dream.
